How to prepare for an interview with a bank/lender

A loan interview can be quite a nerve wracking experience. You really have no way of knowing what kind of questions the bank or lending officer ask. You are not sure if the answers you will give will be sufficient enough to satisfy them and on top of that you know that this process could make or break the whole application.

There are a few simple things that you should remember when appearing for a loan interview. One of the most important things you should remember is to avoid coming across as rude. This immediately turns off the loan officer and really limits your chances for success. Be friendly and always remember that it is you who is asking for help and not the other way around.

You should also be realistic in your goals. Do not ask for a loan that is impossible for them to give and you know will be impossible for you to pay off. The key word here is manageability.
